Multi awarded building for its exquisite and unique architecture designed by the architect Luis Pedro Silva. GM designed mechanical systems for this new Cruise Ship Terminal in the city of Matosinhos, Portugal.
The HVAC system is based on 6-tube chillers connected to a 4-pipe distribution network and an auxiliary circuit for external heat exchange (seawater). The building includes both the customs-related areas, boarding and arrivals, an investigation hub and a bioterium.
The building includes a vast array of laboratories associated with the study of marine life. The gross construction area for this building is close to 20000m²
GM designed the HVAC system, gas network, and BMS system for HVAC.
