GM Engenharia was founded in the city of Porto in 2007, with the mission of developing highly specialized engineering solutions for technical installations of buildings and infrastructures. From its early years, the company stood out for its deep know-how and technical capabilities, evidencing its expertise in air conditioning projects, always with a strong emphasis on energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy. In this way, and providing services at a national and international level, GM Engenharia quickly built a strong reputation in the sector.
The company's success resulted in the diversification of its portfolio, involving both technically complex and innovative projects, such as heat recovery and cogeneration systems, applied to the most varied sectors and buildings, such as shopping centers, hospitals, industrial units, specialized laboratories, airports, tourism and countless other projects. This versatility is visible in projects such as the Leixões Port Cruise Terminal, the rehabilitation of the Bolhão Market, a Thermal Power Plant in Geneva and one of the Portuguese facilities at Expo Shanghai 2010.
Currently, GM Engenharia continues its expansion, consolidating its presence both in the domestic market and in the international scene, cooperating with some of the largest engineering companies in the world. The company participates in projects of increasing ambition and technical complexity, and has already carried out work in more than 25 countries spread over 5 continents.
Pedro Gordinho, founder of GM Engenharia, began his professional career in 1989 at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at FEUP, dedicating himself to the investigation of numerical methods to predict the thermal performance of buildings and their infrastructures.
In 1990, his work expanded to industrial automation, associated with the automotive industry, the optimization of excess heat recovery systems, with a focus on energy efficiency. Over the following years, he specialized in technical projects for air conditioning and mechanical ventilation installations, renewable energies, and electrical and thermal cogeneration.
With participation in more than 1700 projects and with more than 35 years of accumulated experience, performing the functions of designer and commercial management, his vast know-how and competence were fundamental to the creation of GM Engenharia, a company to which he dedicated himself and in which he still performs functions today.

Em 1990, o seu trabalho ampliou-se para a automação industrial, associada à indústria automóvel, a otimização de sistemas de recuperação de calor excedente, com foco na eficiência energética. Ao longo dos anos seguintes, especializou-se em projetos técnicos para instalações de climatização e ventilação mecânica, energias renováveis e cogeração elétrica e térmica.
Com participação em mais de 1700 projetos e com mais de 35 anos de experiência acumulada, desempenhado funções de projetista e direção comercial, o seu vasto know-how e competência foram fundamentais para a criação da GM Engenharia, empresa à qual se dedicou e na qual exerce funções até hoje.
