Built in 1325, it is one of the oldest buildings in the city of Porto, where Infante D. Henrique is presumed to have been born. It has served several purposes throughout its vast history, from residence to royal family visits, the city's Customs Office and the Mint. It is currently a museum space, housing a municipal archive - Gabinete do Tempo - and exhibitions, both permanent and temporary.
GM developed the air conditioning systems, including air quality, temperature, pressure, and humidity control for a new exhibition area.
