It is a centralized cold and heat production unit that serves Geneva airport, the attached exhibition center, and part of the surrounding city. The project uses water from Lake Léman to serve heat pump systems designed to operate the various associated heating/cooling circuits. The power plant has a capacity of about 48000kW and occupies a building of about 3500m². GM was awarded the design of the “district heating and cooling” facilities, including the entire control system for the distribution and recovery of energy between recipient systems.
