This hospital consists of 7 different buildings for which GM designed the air conditioning systems and the production of domestic hot water and fuel gas networks. These include operating rooms, hospitalization, emergencies, central kitchen, laundry, etc. System based on centralized production of cold and heat, distributed to the various buildings through networks buried and/or installed inside the buildings. GM was, in this case, hired to promote optimization and, in particular, capex reduction for the designed mechanical systems, with the result of our intervention a cost reduction of around 40% compared to the originally existing solution. Cold production guaranteed by a chilled water plant under a variable flow regime and heating carried out through gas condensing boilers, which are also in centralized production.
