The RAC - Royal Arts Complex - is an ambitious cultural center under construction in King Salman Park in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Conceived by acclaimed Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill, the project combines modernity with elements of traditional Salmani architecture. Covering an area of more than 500000m², the complex plays a central role in Saudi efforts to enrich its cultural sector, in line with the Vision 2030 initiative. The project includes museums, theaters, cinemas, artistic institutions and a pavilion, all of which are an integral part of the largest urban green space in the world. GM was awarded the design of mechanical heating, ventilation and air conditioning installations in the complex, including active smoke extraction systems for all technical areas as well as for the existing dust removal and pneumatic transport systems. The complex includes museum areas, theaters, art galleries, conference rooms, offices, dining rooms, and other spaces normally present in such projects.
