The Cathedral of Viseu is a masterpiece of Gothic and Renaissance architecture in Portugal. Its rehabilitation included the preservation of its historic elements, such as the cloisters and the façade, while accessibility and interior conditions were improved.
When it came to a refurbishment of a historic building, the project team was extremely careful in the solutions to be applied, both with the location of the equipment and with its technical and constructive implications. The air conditioning solution ended up falling on a radiant floor system associated with a set of heat pumps.
